West Texas football podcasts
Hello, and welcome to my blog about West Texas football for EMAC 4300, producing for new media. Over the fall semester I will be blogging about recent football games in the West Texas area. I decided to do cover this topic for a few reasons. First, West Texas football is big. I think that it is a good idea to give the community a new and alternative format for receiving football information. Also, I see it as something that can grow. I plan on continuing to produce podcasts after my class is finished. The biggest challenge for me right now in creating the first podcasts is finding studio time. I will be cutting it close with my first deadline, but afterwards should be smooth sailing. I will face a few problems when creating the podcasts. For instance, I fear that a few coaches will not like the idea of me speaking with players. A lot of times coaches are afraid that athletes may say the wrong thing to the media. I am fairly young and have plenty of ties to high school athletes. Hopefully that will be enough for me to overcome this challenge and be able to have plenty of interviews. Another challenge will be shooting footage. To overcome this challenge, I will need to be sure to film teams when they are playing home games to help reduce traveling. I am required to post six podcasts over the semester. I invite every one to check for weekly updates and be sure to leave your comments.

This is a great topic that should get you many listeners. I know I will. There are not any editing problems that I noticed. I would try speaking a little slower but it still was very well put together. Great job.
I'm really looking forward to listening to this podcast series because, like you mentioned in your blog, west texas football is big. I didn't hear any problems in your podcast. You seem very well organized and prepared for what you are going to have to do to produce the podcast. Good luck with the coaches, I'm sure the end product is going to be great.
I felt like the intro music didn't really fit the sports and football vibe. I personally am I huge football fan so I'm interested to see what you do with this. It's a great topic and I'm looking forward to hearing more.
Hilarious intro music! Nice that you'll get video footage and highlight reels. You seemed to know your stuff bro! Nice job. Should be a nice insight beyond the local news.
Some of the edits ran close together, but other than that I liked it. Good series decision to include women and sports they might like. If this series was continued beyond the class, it would be a great archival tool for the local schools.
I love football, and I'm pretty sure so does 99% of West Texas. This topic will draw a large audience, and it has a lot of information. You presented your information clearly and were confident about what you said. I'm excited to see what video you get for the podcast.
That's a smooth podcast. It's clear that you understand the scope of your project, and you shouldn't have any issues with football access. You got to speaking a little quickly once or twice, but I actually think that just helped to establish a level of enthusiasm. Best of luck to you.
